Since COVID-19 We have transitioned to both in-person and Zoom for our meetngs which are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 9:30. In addition we have a mid-month meeting via Zoom only. . Some may not care for Zoom, however, this has enabled us to have speakers from all over the state and even from England at a much better rate than having to pay for travel expenses, so there are advantages. Below are some of our upcoming meetings and events:
Sara Cochran, Genealogical Researcher. Also known as the "Skeleton Whisperer", Sara has 30 years of research experience of breaking down brick walls, discovering the stories of black sheep ancestors and helping individuals preserve their photographic legacy.
Chandler Wahrmund, Educator/Interpreter, Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site
As an educator, Chandler Wahrmund is very knowledgeable about the Fantroph Family from 18th century England through 21st century Texas. It is this type of information that he uses to share on how public historians use the resources at genealogical libraries to develop programming for the public.
